How to perform Umrah is the part of the process that happens in Makkah. Pakistani first-timers should learn this sequence before the flight, then follow the group leader at Haram.
1. Ihram
Men wear two unstitched white cloths. Women wear modest Islamic dress without a specific colour. Make the intention (niyyah) and recite talbiyah. Enter ihram before or at the miqat — your group leader will tell you the timing on the Pakistan–Jeddah/Madinah flight or on the bus.
2. Tawaf
Walk seven circuits around the Kaaba, starting from the Black Stone corner. Keep the Kaaba on your left. If the mataf is crowded, stay calm and follow the group.
3. Sa’i
Walk seven times between Safa and Marwah. This completes the main walking rites of Umrah.
4. Halq or taqsir
Men shave or shorten the hair. Women cut a small amount. After this, ihram restrictions end.
Green Dome Travel & Tours groups include two fully guided Umrah, so you perform the rites with the group first, then can repeat with more confidence. This is the practical way for Pakistani families doing Umrah the first time.
